No Surprises & A Training Glove That Feels Like Fight-Night

There are many different ways to approach daily training, whether it’s technical work on the mitts, heavy bag sessions, or strength training. While the basics don’t change, in your pre-fight training you want to be as close to the real action as possible. Whatever you train, train as close to your fighting conditions as you can.

That means strength and conditioning becomes more sport-specific in its movements, and boxing becomes more specific to your game plan, the things you are focusing on for this fight. But most importantly, getting you so prepared for your fight that it feels like just another sparring session - with no surprises.

While this is common knowledge in any professional boxing gym, there are still some details in the execution that often contradict this understanding heavily. Boxers are seen using entirely different gloves for all parts of their training, wearing their fight gloves for the first time days before a fight, or even worse - on fight night. Going through boxing motions in training using heavy weights that seriously affect the mechanics of the motion - in the worst case creating bad habits - in the best case just being very inefficient.

Hit N Move are gloves by competitive fighters for competitive fighters. This means, the innovators highly take into account and consider the challenges that optimal preparation for a fight brings.

A fantastic example of a solution for these is the 24oz conditioning gloves. Not only are you able to actually hit the bag with weighted gloves at a normal glove size, instead of only shadowboxing as one would do with dumbbells or egg weights: The weight respects the exact weight that results of studies have defined to be the optimum when comparing benefits for strength purposes, as opposed to changes in the punching mechanics and potentially resulting issues.

There is a reason some of the most well-conditioned power punchers have been seen using the 24oz conditioning gloves in their pre-fight training camps because they work.

Another great example is the Balance & Süvari glove lines. The Balance glove is a true all-round glove with padding that will not break down on the bag and is therefore equally usable in sparring. Amateur boxers will appreciate the option of a glove for all, as well as not going lower in weight on the bag than the gloves that they are fighting and sparring with. Train as close to your competing conditions - it makes a huge difference.

As for the professional fighters, the Süvari gloves open up a new world. Very similar in shape to the Hit N Move fight gloves, the Süvari glove and its horse hair padding with up to 16oz is as close as it gets to a training glove that feels like fight night. Inspired by Mexican gloves with an open palm, you can train and spar with the same feeling and freedom as when you’re wearing 8oz. The compact size allows for a shot selection no different than a pro fighting glove, free of excessive bulk. Further, the horse hair padding delivers the expected snappy feedback on the inside, providing a further level of conditioning and control that you usually only get from a pro fighting glove.

While dynamics, safety and ergonomics, are huge factors in the design of Hit N Moves gloves, they are primarily designed for competing athletes and fighters. And therefore, they have to behave as similar as possible to the gloves that you are competing in. Whether you are an amateur, white collar fighter, or a world class professional.
