The innovation journey began when Ozhan Akcakaya, frustrated by traditional face saver headgear that limited his agility, approached Dr. Turker Biyikli. Dr. Biyikli recognized the potential for innovation, aiming to keep the headgear's weight under 14 ounces to significantly improve athlete performance.

The Design

Through extensive research and testing, it became evident that existing designs restricted peripheral and vertical vision, hindering athletic performance. This led to the development of the Air Armor model, which introduced the groundbreaking micro padding technology that inhibits impact from traveling throughout the structure. This lightweight cushioning solution maintains robust protection without added bulk.
